Miu Miu Debuts 3 New Colorways of Distressed New Balance 574 Collaboration
The partnership first debuted on Miu Miu’s S/S 2022 runway.
Last January, New Balance and Miu Miu unveiled a distressed take on the classic New Balance 574, a partnership few saw coming. Models marched down the runway at Miu Miu’s Spring/Summer 2022 runway show at Paris Fashion Week in the frayed, denim sneakers.
Just a little over a year later, New Balance and Miu MIu have reunited to craft another round of the 574s for the Spring/Summer 2023 season. Keeping up the distressed look of last year’s shoes, the brands have expanded their range to include three new colorways: “Fringed Blue,” “Marble-Effect Cognac Denim” and a “Blanched White Leather.”
The “Fringed Blue” emulates a classic blue jean, contrasting against crisp white laces, while the “Cognac” takes on a deep brown throughout the shoe and laces alike. Rounding out the lineup, the “Blanched White” Leather offers a pearlier, albeit still muted, alternative to the denim offerings.
Each sneaker features a tongue imprinted with the Miu Miu handwriting, along with the New Balance logo. A white rubber sole comes equipped with ENCA, a core of soft cushion, and the interior features dual-branded insoles.
The new lineup of New Balance x Miu Miu sneakers are available in-store at Miu Miu locations worldwide and online at Miu Miu’s website until the end of February 2023. The “Fringed Blue” and “Cognac Denim” retail for $950 USD, while the “Blanched White Leather” goes for $1,020 USD.
