The Bay Area is known to have a dynamic city culture that’s replete with diverse people, a booming tech industry, elite professional sports teams and a buzzing restaurant scene. And this season, Nike is showing love to the west coast destination by making a special Air Max 1 “The Bay” colorway which has just been revealed by way of official imagery.

The kicks are accessorized with striking embellishments and textures. Swooshes on the lateral side have been transformed into red feathers with golden-yellow stems while the medial side logos have been styled with angelic croc patterns. Furry textures surround the tongues and the lower throat, the former of which trades out the usual Nike branding for a “The Bay” spell-out. Mudguards are treated with tonal cracked leather, and the right shoe’s quarter panel features a west coast-inspired hangtag that nods to Highway 101. Sock liners split their branding between “The Bay” on the right side and a “Nike Coast” plate on the left while gum bottoms round out its design.

Interested in copping? Nike SNKRS is slated to launch this colorway on June 7 for $160 USD.

For other news, the Nike Air More Uptempo slide has been unveiled in a new “White/Red” color scheme.
