Rising Manchester-based brand Le Merj has just presented a brand-new collection and it sees the label experiment with an assemblage of distressed aesthetics while merging them with clean-cut and oversized silhouettes.

It feels like the city of Manchester has the UK in the palm of its hand right now. Big-hitting imprints like Clints have been asserting their dominance with regular footwear and apparel drops across the world, while Drama Call has just unveiled an all-new collection with Manchester United Football Club.

Meanwhile, other rising brands such as Gramm, HYO-Isak, and Skitzo World are continuing to fly the Mancunian flag on the ground, giving constant opportunities for the streetwear-crazy 0161 community to get their hands on slews of unique designs with a moment’s notice.

Now, another brand is bursting through the ranks and is hitting the rainy Northern streets with a new interpretation of British streetwear: Le Merj. Its new collection appears to be a combination of the old and the new, merging American biker-like detailing with futuristic designs that tap into fabrications of nylon, knitwear, and cotton.

Collection highlights feature a padded gilet, with the cropped silhouette being complemented by an abundance of understated detailing such as metal zippers and stitched paneling across the midriff. Additionally, Le Merj also welcomes new graphic T-shirts, while denim comes as a highlighted factor of the drop, tapping into ripped detailing in various shades of blue.

Rounding things off, the collection includes new accessories such as a knitted bucket hat and a new baseball cap that’s hit with shades of khaki green and black.

You can check out the new collection from Le Merj above and it will be available to shop via the brand’s official website from May 31 at 7 p.m. GMT.
