Erykah Badu To Make Musical Cameo in 'The Piano Lesson'
Starring Samuel L. Jackson and John David Washington, who reprise their roles from the Broadway revival.
Erykah Badu is set to make an appearance in Malcolm Washington’s The Piano Lesson.
The Baduizm artist will make a musical cameo and stars alongside Samuel L. Jackson, Malcolm’s brother John David Washington, Ray Fisher, Danielle Deadwyler, Michael Potts and Corey Hawkins. The Piano Lesson is a film adaptation of August Wilson’s 1987 play of the same name, which recently concluded its Broadway revival run and set a record for the highest grossing revival of a play on Broadway and the highest grossing Wilson production on Broadway; Jackson and Washington will be reprising their roles from the Broadway revival.
Denzel Washington, the father of Malcolm and John David, will be producing alongside Todd Black, while Denzel’s daughter Katia Washington, and Constanza Romero and Jennifer Roth will serve as executive producers.
