Katata Yoshihito Design and TOJIRO Open Cutting-Edge Knife Gallery In Tokyo
Explore the brand’s kitchenware history.
Japanese design firm Katata Yoshihito Design is teaming up with innovative kitchenware specialist TOJIRO for a first-of-its-kind Knife Gallery in Tokyo.
The local blade manufacturer takes pride in state-of-the-art craftsmanship grounded in traditional design techniques. Dating back to 1955, TOJIRO’s knives have become an industry standard and are used in world-class kitchens globally.
The collaborative Knife Gallery showcases the diversity of TOJIRO’s designs while allowing visitors to explore the brand’s extensive manufacturing process. The exhibition space is clad in faint grey tones, boasting a geometrical construction with TOJIRO knives clung to the walls. The gadgets hang from steel boards that mirror the panels used in TOJIRO’s Tsubame City factory.
In addition, the interactive exhibition welcomes visitors to take part in culinary cooking classes, allowing them to experience TOJIRO knives in action.
