Inter Milan Presents Limited-Edition Air Max 97 Collaboration
Limited to 200 pairs for “Friends and Family.”
Italian football side Inter Milan has just unveiled a new collaborative Air Max 97 silhouette with Nike, taking inspiration from the city of Milan as a fashion capital.
Fashion and football have been at one for some time now. Most recently, we’ve seen the likes of AC Milan connect with Off-White™ for a collaborative pre-match collection, while Arsenal has also worked closely with adidas on collaborative sneakers that are extensions of the club’s fashion-forward football jerseys.
Now, Inter Milan’s new sneaker — which is limited to 200 pairs for “Friends and Family” — comes in a clean “Nerazzurri” colorway, with Nike’s customary Swoosh branding being replaced with the golden Inter Milan crest. However, as a whole, the sneaker takes its main source of inspiration from the clothes worn throughout the city of Milan during the late ’90s and early 2000s.
Meanwhile, the shoe’s nylon mesh base has been hit with leather overlays and black details. The same black hues are then applied to the tongue’s labels, pull tabs and rubber outsole. The design is then finished off with a translucent base that sets the foundation for the classic Inter Milan color scheme throughout.
You can take a closer look at the new campaign from Inter Milan and Nike, which features Inter ballers, Romelu Lukaku, Lautaro Martinez, and Nicolò Barella above, and the shoe is available to shop via the official Inter Milan website now.
