First Look at the Franck Pellegrino x Clarks Originals Wallabees
Arriving in three exclusive colorways.
Clarks Originals has revealed its latest collaboration with multidisciplinary French artist, Franck Pellegrino.
Using Clark’s classic Wallabee as the canvas, Franck Pellegrino reworks the uppers with a color block patchwork design using premium suede surplus materials from the factory. The pairs are found in three exclusive colorways incorporating Franck’s signature typography style. Below are the Wallabee’s signature natural crepe soles and “Franck” branding is found on the fob and sock.
“I came across Franck’s work about one year ago and I got immediately blown away by his style, technique, and taste,” wrote Creative Director of Clarks Originals, Matteo Bellentani. “I reached out to him proposing to make something together since he is a Clarks fan too, and we thought about using his patchwork and prints style applied to the Wallabee, made by surplus materials in stock. Later on, we met in his studio in Paris and we were so happy to see how this project was coming to life already at the first sample round.”
