Nike has just presented a brand-new iteration of its classic Cortez silhouette and this time, the sneaker has been dressed in a clean “University Blue” colorway.

The Cortez has been one of the Swoosh’s most iconic styles for over 50 years now. Having been dressed in a melange of colorways such as the understated “1972” iteration, the sneaker has also run its away across America on the feet of Forrest Gump.

Additionally, the Cortez has also been open to remodelling, revitalized through futuristic Sacai adaptations and even through collaboration with the likes of CLOT. Now, the sneaker has been hit with a combination of “University Blue,” “Sail,” and “Team Orange” hues. These colors are dressed on the sneaker’s leather upper, mesh tongues, and lining.

A white base is then used, which is contrasted by the “University Blue” speckles on the Swooshes, heels, and insoles. Meanwhile, a light blue stripe along the “Sail” midsole is complemented by retro-styled “Nike” tongue branding and additional branding on the heels and insoles.

You can take a closer look at the new Nike Cortez iteration above and it will be available to shop via the brand’s official website and with select retailers in the coming months for $100 USD.
