South London Rapper Kwengface Reveals His Face for the First Time on 'A COLORS SHOW'
Performing his UK garage-drill record “Freedom.”
UK drill rapper Kwengface has just been summoned by A COLORS SHOW to perform his brand-new single “Freedom,” with the record beginning with him removing his signature balaclava and revealing his identity for the very first time.
Throughout the UK, drill music has been dominated by musicians in masks for some time now. Whether a mask is used to hide the identity of those avoiding legal consequences, or just to avoid the everyday carnage that comes with being a celebrity, rappers who hide their faces stand by letting the music do the talking — and this approach continues to work in abundance for many rhymers across the country.
One of the most high-profile rappers to reveal his identity in recent times was K-Trap — who Hypebeast recently spoke with — and since, his career has flourished with a slew of UK anthems that have had labels and execs eagle-eyed. It is thought that Kwengface’s face reveal has come in the same vein, as the rapper prepares for the release of his new project, The Memoir, which drops this Friday.

With this in mind, Kwengface’s just-dropped “Freedom” is a UK-garage-inspired single — produced by CZR — that allows the South London rapper to declare that he is still the “king” of the current British drill scene. Furthermore, “Freedom” is the latest record to come from The Memoir, a 17-track project that includes features from the likes of Giggs, Reekz MB, Lancey Foux, SL, Knucks, S Loud, and more.
