Hajime Sorayama Teases Upcoming Puma Clyde Collaboration
Expected to be part of the 50th-anniversary celebrations of the classic model.
Building on his extensive list of collaborations, Hajime Sorayama recently teased an upcoming team-up with Puma. During the opening of his latest “Space Traveler” exhibition held concurrently across NANZUKA UNDERGROUND, NANZUKA 2G, and 3110NZ by LDH Kitchen in Tokyo, Sorayama was spotted wearing a pair of previously unseen Puma Clyde sneakers.
Believed to be a collaboration between Hajime Sorayama and Puma, the shoes draw from the artist’s precisely detailed portrayals of robots. The Hajime Sorayama x Puma Clyde features leather uppers expressing a matte metallic silver accented by chrome toe segments. Additional detailing comes in the form of gold laces and matching leather sockliners.
Aside from the usual Puma Formstrip at the midfoot regions, branding comes in the form of “PUMA” embossed tongue markings, Puma label stamps, and motif at the rear. Finishing up the design of the shoe are clean white sole units.
The Hajime Sorayama x Puma Clyde is expected to be part of Puma’s 50th-anniversary celebrations of the Clyde model, releasing during the Fall/Winter 2023 season.
