N.E.R.D. Teams Up With PLEASURES for a Range of Collaborative Graphic Tees

It’s a big week for Pharrell as he’s just a day away from hosting his annual Something in the Water music festival in his hometown of Virginia Beach where artists like Kid Cudi, Lil Wayne, Lil Uzi Vert, Kehlani and more have been tapped to perform. And to stir up some excitement over the festival, he’s partnering with various brands to create special merchandise like this forthcoming N.E.R.D. x PLEASURES range of graphic tees.

The capsule is titled “Tape You,” which makes perfect sense considering that a bulk of the imagery that is tossed onto the various tees reference throwback technologies that were often used during the prime era of N.E.R.D. — the hip hop/rock band that was comprised of Pharrell, Chad Hugo and Shay Haley. Two of the tees are designed with cassette tape graphics that are being held by robotic hands and feature the band’s name written on tape while a PLEASURES hit rests on the bottom. The back of these pieces feature speckled details and an additional PLEASURES hit. The other duo of shirts is emblazoned with an old computer that features the back of a man’s head on the screen and N.E.R.D. branding up top while the back is adorned with the brand’s signature brain logo.

The tees are launching via the Commonwealth store in Virginia Beach.
