Rico Nasty Wants Fans To “Turn It Up” on New Trap Single
The rapper is in the middle of her sold-out 2023 headlining tour.
Rico Nasty has seemingly mastered all the musical genres, from rap to hip-hop, but on her latest song, fans get a dose of perhaps what the artist does best: hard-hitting trap.
Produced by her frequent collaborators 100 gecs, “Turn It Up” hears Nasty spit rapid-fire bars about cashing checks and putting on a good show for her critics.
“I just put the cash in a stash / Why you lookin’ on my page and you ain’t even wash ya ass?,” she raps. “I got a check, now I don’t know how to act / At my new crib playin’ with my son in the grass.”
The beat over which Nasty raps is another highlight of the track, a uniquely 100 gecs production featuring alternative, industrial-type sounds.
Just earlier this month, the rapper embarked on her 2023 headlining tour alongside Omeretta The Great. So far, she’s already hit major cities across the U.S., including Boston, New York, Philadelphia and Nashville to deliver lively performances of her latest album, Las Ruinas.
