CQP has teamed up with Golden Bear to release a varsity jacket capsule collection that unites both brand’s philosophies and aesthetics.

With an emphasis on quality, durability, and consciousness, the capsule sees three varsity jackets crafted from Melton wool, a material that is known for its tough nature and insulating properties. These jackets are designed with classic features that nod to the silhouette’s American and athletic heritage — from the tonal snap buttons, and double besom pockets to rib-knit collars, cuffs, and waistbands with off-white striped trims.

The capsule is made up of two different silhouettes — Hayes and Portola. Both styles arrive in a relaxed and unisex fit, fitted with tonal satin lining, two internal chest pockets, leather inner pockets, and welt front pockets, complete with woven-cobranded neck labels. Hayes is offered in black and cream colorways, accentuated with cream-colored leather sleeve inserts. Meanwhile, Portola comes in plain dark green.

Speaking on the collaboration, Adam Lewenhaupt, found of CQP says “Golden Bear has been a long-time favorite of ours. When we were given the possibility to partner with them, we jumped at the opportunity to create the perfect extension of our footwear, that would fit right at home within the CQP wardrobe.”

The Golden Bear x CQP varsity jacket capsule is currently available on CQP’s website. The Portola jacket retails for $800 USD, while the Hayes jackets are priced at $900 USD.
