adidas Adds Crepe Soles to the Stan Smith
Four colorways of the new style are available now.
As 2023 continues to unfold, the year’s trends are taking form. Within the footwear space, one that has caught sneakerheads’ eyes is the classic crepe sole. Already, releases such as the Nike Air Max 1 Crepe and the three-way collaboration starring adidas, Clarks Originals and Ronnie Fieg on the new 8th Street Samba have proven that crepe is here to stay. Now, adidas Originals has doubled down on the approach with a terrace-inspired Stan Smith Crepe silhouette.
To start, the iconic Stan Smith serves as the template with elements such as its perforated Three Stripes, flat laces and adidas Originals branding at the heel tab making a return. In its crepe-supported form, a premium suede outfits the upper with new script branding at the tongue. Supporting each of the four debut colorways, a thick crepe sole in its natural gum coloring appears. Its looks feature monochromatic uppers of “Magic Beige,” “Craft Orange,” “Shadow Green” and “Core Black” with its signature sole unit completing each pair.
