A lawsuwit has been filed against Cam’ron over his alleged use of an image of himself. Photographer Djamilla Rosa Cochran is accusing the Harlem Dipset rapper off profiting off of an image – that she took of him – by printing it on merchandise.

Along with Cam’ron, whose real name is Cameron Giles, Dipset Couture LLC is named in the suit. Cochran says that she owns the copyright to the image and seeks damages, as well as any of the profit from merchandise sales.

“Defendant Dipset Couture LLC, without permission or authorization from Plaintiff, actively copied and displayed the Photograph on the Website as part of various product listings (‘Merchandise Listings’) and engaged in this misconduct knowingly and in violation of the United States copyright laws,” the lawsuit reads, per XXL.

“Getty Images notified defendants of their infringing activities by mail and email on multiple occasions. Despite those notifications, defendants continued to sell merchandise and continued to display the photograph on website and accounts.”

The photo in question was taken during Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in February 2002, picturing Cam’ron donning a pink fur coat and talking on a pink flip phone. In the decades since, the coat has become a relic in hip-hop culture and even saw the rapper turn down a $300,000 USD offer to sell it.

In other music news, Shygirl dropped the deluxe album Nypmh_O.
