Balenciaga's Runner Sneaker Lands in Futuristic Silver and Green Palette
Available now for $1,150 USD.
Balenciaga always knows how to put on a show. From its calfskin leather trash bag to a super-destroyed denim look set at staggering price points, Creative Director Denma constantly pushes forward new styles that leave his audience dismayed. In the footwear department, Denma has continued to expand with new iterations of his trademark chunky silhouettes.
Following the reveal of the Muddy 3XL Trainer inspired by Summer 2023’s “The Mud Show,” Balenciaga drops a new colorway of its staple Runner Sneaker. Outfitted in eye-catching silver and neon, the leather-free kicks are destined for the future.
Breathable white mesh acts as the base and decorates the exposed underlays concealed by metallic textile trimmings that run across the uppers. Black outlines and uncovered stitching deliver an unfinished look, while others are painted white at the heels. Identifiable Balenciaga motifs can be found throughout, including shoe size numbers at the tips and rears alongside House branding on the tongues. Dashes of vibrant neon deliver lively spirit to the liners, insoles, pull tabs, and rubber outsoles, completing the design vigorously.
