Nike Brightens the Zoom Vomero 5 With "Varsity Maize"
Featuring hits of suede and reflective Swooshes.
Last year, the return of the Zoom Vomero 5 looked to be a key supplement to Nike’s footwear offerings moving forward. Little did we know, it would actually take center stage as it bounces from monochromatic makeovers to cheery color combinations with the Swoosh’s countless reveals of new iterations. Recently, “Worn Blue” and “Lavender” looks have leaned on vibrant color palettes — an approach that continues with the “Varsity Maize” colorway.
A strong yellow tone complements a mango hue across the sneaker as its mesh base spotlights white at its webbing and Swooshes favor a reflective silver. Typical linework and overlays make a return in a new bright presentation that also sees suede enter the mix around the toe and collar. Branding elements similarly switch things up as tonal embroidered Swooshes find themselves affixed to the “Varsity Maize” heel counter that matches the rubber outsole.
