When listing out renowned artists who impacted urban street culture during the 1980s, Keith Haring‘s name is worthy of being noted. He was featured in over 100 exhibitions throughout his life and served as an iconic artist that inspires the work of pop artists and street muralists today. And to honor his illustrious career, AKILA LA has put together a special eyewear collection in partnership with Artestar that celebrates his works and salutes his distinct style.

AKILA‘s Radiant and Paradise silhouettes are highlighted in this initiative. The former features a minimalistic look and comes constructed with temple tips that mimc his trademark linework and comes in blue, green orange, black and clear colorways. Paradise also proffer a subtle and clean look but come shaped with rounded frames. This silhouette is done up in black brown, red, clear, teal and purple color schemes. Both options come equipped with clear lenses that combat harmful blue light, but they can also be traded out for prescription lenses if necessary.

AKILA is slated to drop this Keith Haring collection on March 20 via its online store and through select retailers. Additionally, AKILA’s NY flagship is hosting a special launch party on March 18 from 5-8pm EDT.
