Y-3 Adds Painted Touches to the UltraBOOST Light
The comfortable runner receives Yohji Yamamoto avant-garde design style.

Yohji Yamamoto‘s 20-year partnership with adidas is ever-growing, expanding rapidly with new clothing lines and footwear designs. On the former side, the duo revealed an all-new Atelier division, while the latter embraces countless in-line makeovers of classic adidas models. adidas’ Y-3 recently debuted the Marathon TR silhouette and now grasps the UltraBOOST Light for its take on the comfortable runner.
The UltraBOOST Light is equipped with revolutionary BOOST technology for a smooth ride while on the move and receives Yamamoto’s recognizable design motifs. The model is done up in a simple black and white colorway, featuring a black knitted base stocked with breathable construction. The medial cages boast painted Three Stripes branding swiped onto the midsoles, while tonal sashiko-style stitching enhances the forefeet, and loose threads dangle from the heels alongside exposed co-branded tags.
The sneaker is complete with black UltraBOOST Light sole units and inscribed rubber bottoms that add a delightful bounce to every step.
