adidas and Yohji Yamamoto have just unveiled yet another silhouette to its ever-growing footwear mainline: the Y-3 Marathon TR.

The new sneaker quickly follows the recently-presented Superstar iteration in a stealthy-black colorway, and it’s a revitalized version of the shoe that was initially released in 1979 as a trail-running sneaker.

Now, this latest version of the design has been elevated by Yohji Yamamoto and Y3 to offer more contemporary styling with exposed stitching and an overall distressed aesthetic — one that has been a running theme in recent footwear drops.

Arriving in both black and “Off White” colorways, the sneakers are crafted with a suede base layer, while leather detailing complements the customary Three Stripe branding on the lateral sides. Furthermore, the underfoot features a trefoil grip pattern, while monochromatic Y-3 branding rounds off the style.

You can take a closer look at the Y-3 Marathon TR above and it is available on the official adidas website and with a selection of retailers now.
