NOAH and Solovair Reconnect for Rugged Jungle Boots
Drawing upon Solovair’s military heritage.
After delivering various colorways of the Gibson 3-Eye derby over the years, NOAH now taps Solovair once again for a high-utility Jungle Boot as part of its ongoing Made in England collection.
Founded in Wollaston, Northamptonshire, a village known for its shoe industry, Solovair established itself as a shoe manufacturer for the British Army in the ’60s before going on to define English counterculture in the ’90s as it became a go-to for purists and independent punk shops. The footwear made by Solovair today uses the same lasts, leather cutters, and machinery as their original boots, carrying its signature air-cushioned suspension.
The upcoming Jungle Boots are found in a durable blend of polished black leather and olive canvas, serving up a look representative of Solovair’s military heritage. Details include thick rope laces, metal eyelets, long nylon heel loops, and Goodyear-welted black lug soles. The collaboration will join other Solovair classics currently held by NOAH including 3-Eye Gibsons, Single Buckle Monk Shoes, and Tassel Loafers.
The Noah x Solovair Made in England Jungle Boot is set to arrive on NOAH’s online shop and physical locations on February 23 at 11 a.m. ET. Learn more about the collaboration here.
