Gorillaz has officially released its newest music video for their “Silent Running” single featuring The Humanz Choir vocalist Adeleye Omotayo. Directed by Gorillaz co-creator Jamie Hewlett and Emmy-nominated director Fx Goby, the animated video features Noodle, Murdoc, and Russel investigating the mystery disappearance of 2D.

Finding 2D strapped to a sacrificial totem at a dark archaic shrine in Hollywood, the Gorillaz team orchestrates a brazen escape as their bandmate is lowered into the jaws of a nasty-looking golem. “Silent Running” is the last track to be unveiled before the release of the forthcoming Cracker Island album which features additional collaborations with Bad Bunny, Tame Impala, Beck, Stevie Nicks, Thundercat, and Bootie Brown. Other tracks previewed from the group’s eighth studio album include “Baby Queen,” “New Gold” featuring Tame Impala and Bootie Brown, and “Skinny Ape.” On a recent appearance on Genius, Damon Albarn delivered a rare breakdown of the song’s lyrics.

The Cracker Island album can be pre-ordered via the Gorillaz website on February 24. The band will later make an appearance at Coachella in April.
