Eiichiro Oda’s hit manga One Piece has thrived since its introduction in 1997. Beyond being adapted into one of the most popular anime series worldwide, One Piece was brought to life in live action courtesy of Netflix earlier this year. The well-received adaptation was renewed for a second season to be released in 2025 and Netflix has just revealed there’s more One Piece content on the way.

During this year’s Jump Festa — an annual manga and anime convention held in Tokyo by Shueisha — it was revealed that Netflix is teaming up with WIT Studio (best known for anime adaptations such as Attack on Titan and Spy x Family) to create their own One Piece anime. Working with the original manga as its source material, the studio will start with the East Blue arc and make its way through the series.

At the time of writing, Netflix has not disclosed any release details surrounding WIT Studio’s THE ONE PIECE. Stay tuned for updates as we expect additional looks at the upcoming series to be shared during 2024.
