Snow Peak and Tokyo Design Studio Reveal Collaborative New Balance Capsule
The range of winter-ready outerwear items and footwear is available now.
Update: Snow Peak and Tokyo Design Studio have released their collaborative cold weather capsule, led by the TDS Niobium Concept 3 boot. Apparel items include The Winter Down Haori Jacket and Winter Down Hooded Vest.
The shoe runs for $USD 300, whereas the down jacket and down vest go for $679 USD and $480 USD respectively.

Original Story: Snow Peak and Tokyo Design Studio have come together to create a collaborative New Balance capsule, featuring a variety of outwear items and a winter-ready boot dubbed the “TDS Niobium Concept 3.”
The boot comes in a gray gradient and is made with a two-layer construction, featuring an outer shell and removable lightweight inner boot — enabling both in and outdoor wear. Additional utility-facing construction is provided by eVent, Prima Loft and Vibram, making the shoe water-repellent, durable and ready for almost any terrain.
As for apparel items, the capsule features a down jacket and a down vest. The padded-down jacket has one zipper pocket on the chest and two zipper pockets on the waist and when worn, can be adjusted via a waist belt to create a fitted silhouette. The down vest is detailed with a belt on the side and a flap pocket at the bottom. Both the vest and jacket feature the same blue coloring, decorated with white snow-like accents and what appears to be Japanese calligraphy.
While the price has not been shared at the time of writing, the Tokyo Design Studio x Snow Peak New Balance capsule collection is expected to be released this Friday, December 8, via New Balance and Snow Peak’s official sites.
