With the proper return of the Nike Kobe division being kicked off on Mamba Day this year, the popular line spared no time in once again establishing a presence in basketball footwear. As part of the new Nike Mamba Program, Duke University is set to be treated to special footwear for its men’s and women’s basketball teams each year. With the 2023-24 NCAA season underway, the Duke Women’s Basketball team took to Instagram to reveal two Nike Kobe 8 Protro Duke PEs.

Both pairs utilize a familiar mesh upper as a combination of white, black and “Duke Royal Blue” stands out across the two designs. The first pair utilizes a white base with blue Swooshes and Kobe branding at the heel as the Duke logo arrives at the tongue. As for the second arrangement, the school’s signature blue dresses a majority of the upper as white touches down on the Swooshes, Kobe branding at the heel and the tongue’s Duke logo.

Given that both of these Nike Kobe 8 Protro Duke PEs are given the player exclusive tag, it’s unlikely that either pair will ever be made available for sale publicly. Look for the Duke Women’s Basketball team to be rocking these on court throughout the remainder of the season.
