Dave Chappelle Announces New Netflix Comedy Special
Premiering this December.
Dave Chappelle is closing out his 2023 with a brand new Netflix comedy special.
Premiering on December 31, the still-untitled standup special was announced via a short teaser that sees his “C” logo lit up with neon lighting. In the background, Chappelle’s voice can be heard thanking the roaring crowd and is capped off with Morgan Freeman proudly stating, “He’s back, folks!” The phrase “DAVE IS BACK” then appears, followed by the release date of December 31.
It remains to be seen when and where this special was filmed. This marks Chappelle’s sixth Netflix comedy special in six years; he released The Age of Spin, Deep in the Heart of Texas, Equanimity and The Bird Revelation in 2017, Stick & Stones in 2019 and The Closer in 2021.
