UNION Centers Its SoCal Lens for Holiday 2023

Since its 1989 beginnings, Chris Gibbs’ brand, UNION, has centered an air of streetwear with a uniquely Southern California charm. Regardless of the season, the brand has continuously evolved its idea of what the subculture is and can be. Now the brand is back for the Holiday 2023 season with a new collection that centers on its SoCal lens.
The last offering sees a wardrobe of classic, casual and cozy staples – capturing the easy personality of Californian streetwear. But fueling the latest collection is its inspiration of finding peace through life’s many facets. With it, Gibbs conveys a sense of soul-searching to get segway into a better state. The best place to do so is in nature.
With it, elements of mountaineering and outdoor activities appear throughout the offering. The selection of pieces appears in natural-oriented hues of brown, green, slate gray, black and more. Collection highlights include the weighted weave Joplin Sweater, the Dett Coat which recasts the puffer, the Coleridge Sweater in cardigan form and the Eastman Pant. Enhancing the pieces is Gibbs’ attention to varied fabrications, repair stitching, worn-in patina and heavyweight constructions.
