London-based footwear label notwoways continues expanding its output entering the new year, concluding 2023 by returning to its roots with the Model 1. Brand founders Callum McGinley and Rockwell Princely often take inspiration from London’s bustling streets, recalling a past sneaker catastrophe on the Model 1 “Mokka.”

A nightmare coffee spillage occurred on McGinley’s Model 1 “Syzygy,” birthing the beverage-infused iteration drenched in coffee-like hues. The soaked sequence begins across the packaging, delivered inside thematic boxing with brown liquid splotches and a custom metal latte art stencil.

The kicks inside are dipped in brown, black, and cream tones, with the latter dressing the toe boxes and medials in supple leather. Energetic brew tumbles on the mudguards in suede while black accents hit the rears. Additional laces and two-toned hang tags complete the design stacked atop wavy midsoles and textured rubber bottoms.

Take a closer look at the notwoways Model 1 “Mokka” in the gallery above. The pair will release globally through the brand’s website on November 23 for £110 GBP (approximately $138 USD).
