Nike and Rit Dye Reconnect for Shibori Tie-Dye Kit
The fourth DIY centered offering from the duo.
Following its previous releases centered around, ice dyeing, diagonal, sunburst, yin & yang, and reverse tie-dye, Nike and Rit Dye have come together for a new DIY offering. Serving as the fourth collaboration from the duo, builds on the “Do It Yourself” campaign that explores iconic dye techniques.
The Nike x Rit Shibori Tie-Dye Kit provides the tools to express creativity and create something totally unique. Each kit comes with a men’s or women’s Nike sail hoodie, a bottle of Rit indigo liquid dye, thread and needle, square blocks, gloves, bands, and an assortment of heat-applied Nike patches. The accompanying DIY instructional guide also outlines three Shibori techniques, kumo, commonly known as the spider technique, wood clamping with itajime, and ori nui a combination of stitch and fabric arrangement.
The Nike x Rit Shibori Tie-Dye Kit will be available for purchase December 12 on Nike’s website and on the SNKRS app.
