Converse has unveiled the list of designer collaborators set to rework the iconic Chuck Taylor All Star, which spans design contributions from Martine Ali, Isabel Marant, and Feng Chen Wang. Brooklyn-based jewelry label Martine Ali is kicking off the stacked slate of releases, bringing its signature sleek and utilitarian aesthetic to the New Chuck 70 De Luxe Wedge model.

The Chuck 70 De Luxe Wedge joins the rest of the De Luxe family and brings an edgy energy – influenced directly by Ali’s chain-based experimental jewelry – to the silhouette. Boasting a radically sculpted, angular midsole, the Chuck 70 De Luxe Wedge comes complete with an EVA foam midsole, offering the wearer nearly four inches of elevation.

In true New York fashion, the shoe takes an all-black colorway, seeing a full leather upper with a tonal Chuck patch, midsole, lace, and toecap. Five stud closures mark the upper, complemented by signature metallic finishes and contrast stitching on the collar. Take a closer look at the Ali-directed campaign – which features Ali herself – in the gallery below.

Expect the Converse x Martine Ali Chuck 70 De Luxe Wedge to go live for purchase globally on December 1 at the Converse webstore as well as at select global retailers. In Europe, the collection will go on sale at select retailers in early 2024.

Release dates for the imminent Isabel Marant and Feng Chen Wang collaborations have yet to surface but stay tuned to Hypebeast for more updates as they transpire.
