British watch brand Spinnaker is no stranger to crafting timepieces for a good cause. Following a capsule in partnership with the Marine Conservation Society back in June, Spinnaker now presents its latest creation dedicated to the Whale Sanctuary Project: the Hass Automatic Whale Sanctuary Project Limited -Edition.
Arriving in Beluga Blue and Oraca Black, the references each feature its namesake whale as a luminous motif at the heart of the dial. The former stars a light blue and off-white color combination, accompanied by an additional navy NATO strap. Meanwhile, the latter is fitted with a black and gray color palette, complete with a black NATO strap.
Both versions are housed in a 43m stainless steel build with a metal bracelet, and geared with 30 ATM water resistance. The markings on its unidirectional bezel, geometric indices, and handset are filled with Super-LumiNova, while the electric blue seconds hand punctuates the watch face with a pop of color. While the caseback depicts a whale-shaped cutout that offers a glimpse into its Japanese automatic caliber.
Available now on Spinnaker’s official online shop, the 500-piece limited-edition is retailed for $385 USD. To support the Whale Sanctuary Project, 5% of net sales will be donated to help the organization fund its operations.
