Round 21 Launches Jean-Michel Basquiat and Keith Haring Basketballs
Featuring four basketballs.

From clothing to toys and even tech accessories, the infamous works of renowned artists Jean-Michel Basquiat and Keith Haring continue to permeate the art and design spaces. Now sports-focused collaborative entity, Round 21, is adding to the portfolio with its new launch of basketballs inspired by the artists’ legacies.
Featuring four official collector basketballs in total, two have been crafted in honor of each artist. Kicking off the launch are the Jean-Michel Basquiat “Lifeblood” and “Philistines” basketballs. The “Lifeblood” pieces include four works from Basquiat including A Panel of Experts, Beat Bop 1, Made in Japan 1 and an untitled piece (Skull, 1983). “Philistines” features officially licensed artwork that showcases Basquiat’s signature raw and colorful style.
Furthermore, the Keith Haring basketballs include “Tokyo Fabric” and “Are All Welcome.” The first includes artwork from Haring’s 1988 Tokyo Fabric, which is inspired by the artist’s time in Japan. The “Are All Welcome” basketball showcases the artist’s multicolored faceless figures.
Take a look at the pieces in the gallery above. Priced at $135 USD each, the Jean-Michel Basquiat and Keith Haring basketballs are available now at Round 21 and the MoMA Design Store.
