Official Look at the Nike Sabrina 1 "Grounded"
The official release date is set for later this month.
WNBA star Sabrina Ionescu and Nike have been amping up the offerings for the NY Liberty star’s first signature shoe. Symbolizing her triumphant and motivational journey, the new “Grounded” colorway is set to arrive later this month.
Combining comfort, style and function, the basketball shoe comes in a light bone, laser orange, ashen slate and coconut milk color scheme. The base is constructed with a textile upper featuring embroidered patterns that are inspired by Romanian art, a nod to Ionescu’s heritage. Tonal suede details the tongue and the heel, while also highlighting the dotted “i” — a nod to the player’s last name and her signature. The quarter panels are in translucent mesh for added breathability. Through the panels, interior cables in golden yellow are revealed, for a secure fit. The Swoosh is highlighted in an embroidered outline stitching in ashen slate, while another big Swoosh is seen on the inner side of the shoe closer to the heel. Orange detailing is seen throughout the shoe giving it a pop of color. The shoe sits atop a full-length Nike React midsole for added support, as is a Zoom Air unit in the forefoot and a stabilizing shank in the midfoot to enhance comfort and performance on the court.
Look out for the Nike Sabrina 1 “Grounded” arriving in select retailers both in-store and online at Nike starting on October 19 for $130 USD.
