This particular model has been receiving lots of love lately, both in and outside of the skateboarding world, with Andrew Reynolds releasing his own take on the pair, in line releases like recently dropped inline Navy and Rust, as well as basketball-geared pairs like Junya Watanabe‘s BB480 — which the Yin and Yang pack bare some similarities to.
The Yin pair of the pack is dressed in all-black leather, with off-white accents featured at the midsole and various branding elements throughout the shoe. Its counterpart, the Yang of the pack, is dressed in white leather with a black midsole, as well as minimal black branding accents throughout.
Both pairs feature New Balance’s full-length FuelCell technology designed to reduce weight and make the shoe more responsive. Additionally, the pairs feature double-layered toes, for added durability, as well as a longer lifespan against the grip tape and concrete. The modified treads on the pairs are also designed to add more traction, with the outsole additionally featuring high-abrasion Ndurance rubber and molded Abzorb insoles for impact protection.
The New Balance Numeric 480 Yin and Yang pack is rolling out to select retailers now and is scheduled to drop on New Balance’s official site on October 16 for a retail price of $99 USD each.
