G-SHOCK and PORTER Partner for Limited-Edition Watch
Accompanied by a multipurpose co-branded bag.
Continuing the celebrations of its 40th Anniversary, Casio‘s G-SHOCK label has revealed a collaboration with Japan-based Yoshida & Co. bag brand PORTER. The release includes a full-metal limited edition GM-B2100 and a co-branded multipurpose bag.
While the limited edition model is based on the octagon-shaped analog model GM-B2100, it takes dial inspiration from the DW-5000, with colors like red, blue and gold providing a retro feel.
Additionally, the bezel and band are coated with black IP and then partially peeled off using an aged process to create a pre-distressed look. Other design considerations include the hands being decorated with beige phosphorescence, further accenting the aged concept.
Notably, the watch also features a 40th-anniversary logo, designed by Eric Haze, engraved on the back cover and the shock resist mark engraved on the buckle.
Accompanying the limited edition watch is a co-branded bag, produced by PORTER. Using the GM-B2100 as inspiration, the bag features an octagonal base. Other details include 2-way functionality, densely woven water-repellent Ventile fabric, an embossed leather 40th-anniversary insignia and co-branded exterior patches.
The set is expected to release on November 10 via select PORTER locations in Japan and via Yoshida’s official site, for a retail price of ¥184,800 JPY or $1,235 USD.
