Aēsop Hollywood Road Is a Wellness Oasis

Aēsop is all about immersive wellness practices, tapping into a refreshing, enveloping ethos that exists across all of its precise skin care formulations and unique retail experiences. For its newest flagship location located in the heart of Hong Kong, Aēsop amalgamates the city’s rich tradition with contemporary design to create an inviting wellness oasis.
Architects drew inspiration from their urban surroundings, looking to bring the metropolis’ constant chaos and rhythm inside Aēsop’s clean universe. Paired with the serenity of nature, the store creates a harmonious interplay of materials, light and texture, combining cultural nods with contemporary design. Covered in custom white tiling, Aēsop’s interiors pay homage to Hong Kong’s tiling tradition, which signifies resilience, specifically in the context of a humid climate. Intricate, suspended brass structures – a nod to the local construction method of bamboo scaffolding – hang juxtaposed against the tiling.
A bevy of communal basins lay at the center of the store, in which guests can immerse themselves in Aēsop’s array of olfactory creations for the skin, hair and body. Individual basins are nestled along the side of the store for guests seeking more privacy. Aēsop Hollywood Road is also loaded with two private facial suites; guests ascend a flight of stairs to reach a soft-lit sanctuary, an enjoyable escape from the city – and the rest of the store.
