The COMME des GARÇONS Shirt x ASICS EX89 Collab Has Landed At Last
Following an initial glimpse of the pair at CDG Shirt’s Fall/Winter 2023 runway.
COMME des GARÇONS Shirt is delivering on one of the collaborations the CDG offshoot previewed as part of its collab-heavy Fall/Winter 2023 collection: the COMME des GARÇONS Shirt x ASICS EX89. The patriotic joints that turned heads on the runway earlier this year can now be yours.
Paying homage to France, the ASICS EX89 model is dipped in two iterations of a red, white, and blue colorway, and draws design inspiration from iconic basketball team uniforms. “In addition to the classic color blocking, this design features off-white details on the laces and sole to pay homage to the original GEL-EXTREME™ shoes in the late 1980s,” ASICS shared in an Instagram comment. With a leather upper and a rubber sole, the model is just as clean and street-savvy as it is durable and functional.

The COMME des GARÇONS Shirt x ASICS EX89 retail for $310 USD, and are now available to purchase on Dover Street Market’s online store. Expect the sneakers to land in COMME des GARÇONS retail stores later this month.
