Lacoste and ASICS Collaborations Lead COMME des GARÇONS Shirt FW23
Combining Lacoste’s heritage with the playful CDG persona.
COMME des GARÇONS Shirt is back for the Fall/Winter 2023, teasing a new Lacoste collaboration. Taking traditional house notes from the French label and combining them with contemporary and playful CDG motifs, the collection features various designs of classic men’s shirts.
From button-ups to hoodies to t-shirts, the Lacoste collaboration features exaggerated and dramatized versions of the titular Lacoste crocodile. Some button-ups are plastered across the shirt in CDG-infused stripes, while some feature an all-over print of the crocodile motif. Other pullovers and slanted cardigans feature a take on a more minimal approach, with the crocodile motif only seen on the left chest or center of the shirt. Crocodiles appear in the typical green or in yellow. The collaboration stayed true to both houses’ ethos, placing unexpected twists on classic men’s shirting silhouettes. Beyond the Lacoste capsule within the FW23 collection, this season also brought forward a selection of modern suiting options in bright colors. The button-up shirts feature unique detailing including frays, shredded trims, and zippered sleeves.
CDG also reconnected with ASICS for a couple of pairs of EX89 sneakers in various colorways. The shoes appear to pay homage to the French colors, coming in different renditions of blue, red and white. There is no word on when the collection will release just yet, but the collection is set to arrive for the FW23 season. Take a look above at the full collection.
