Pawnshop Officially Unveils Its Work Boot-Inspired Nike SB Dunk High Collaboration
The kicks are embellished with regal wings and come with two sets of laces with golden aglets.
Nike and its popular Nike SB sub-label is in its striped box era, and in 2023, it is expected to make a handful of striking collaboration deliveries. Arriving this month is the Pawnshop Skate Co. x Nike SB Dunk High team-up, and after being teased via various sneaker leakers and official Swoosh imagery, the California-based shop has officially announced its newest project.
Pawnshop Skate Co. was established in Covina, California in 2010 by Nike SB team rider Donovon Piscopo‘s father, Anthony. In order to support his son, he pawned a family heirloom, and this served as inspiration for the name. And for this footwear initiative, the west coast retailer reimagined he classic SB Dunk High with work boot-inspired details. Designed with the OG Dunk’s tooling, the kicks are readied with a premium black leather upper and come stylized with exposed golden stitchings around the Swooshes along with gilded wings that reside on the collars. Nike SB branding is retained on the tongues, but beneath it you’ll find that Pawnshop’s moniker replaces the usual model name. Another nod to the Covina-based store is found on the interior of the tongues with the words “Old Soul,” and you can also spot its signature logo on the right foot’s insole. Packaged with the sneakers are two sets of laces that are accessorized with golden aglets.
Look for the Pawnshop Skate Co. x Nike SB Dunk to release through select skate shops come January 14.
