Flo Milli Debuts “Conceited” Remix Featuring Lola Brooke and Maiya the Don
A fresh take on the ‘You Still Here, Ho?’ cut.
Flo Milli is chasing up on the virality of last year’s “Conceited” with a remix of the track. The revamped rendition hears the rapper return in her distinct quick-punchy style, interspersed with bars from Lola Brooke and Maiya the Don.
“Long-ass weave flow down my back / I want a pitcher with a baseball bat,” Milli raps in one of fans’ favorite verses. “H**s don’t like when I talk like that / Please don’t bark ’cause Milli bite back.”
“Conceited” was included on the tracklist for Milli’s long-awaited debut album, You Still Here, Ho?, which dropped in July via RCA Records. While the Alabama-born artist has been putting out songs in 2018, the record marked her first full-fledged effort in building out a concept-driven musical project. On the LP, Milli pays homage to iconic moments in Black pop culture and celebrates contemporary Black womanhood.
“The whole idea of the project was very intentional,” she told Hypebeast in a September interview. “Just the way it came about was very creative and sporadic.”
Brooke and Maiya are both rising talents hailing from Brooklyn, New York. Brooke has already opened up for rappers such as Rich The Kid, as well as Milli, while Maiya began her career as a makeup artist and beauty influencer on TikTok.
