Fendi and Tiffany & Co. Release Sterling Silver Baguette Bag
Celebrating the Fendi Baguette bag’s 25th anniversary.
In September of 2022 during NYFW, Fendi made waves with a special fashion show that celebrated the 25th anniversary of its signature Baguette bag. Now, the Rome-based luxury house is continuing the celebration with a sterling silver Baguette bag in collaboration with Tiffany & Co.
Crafted by a group of Tiffany Makers at the brand’s Rhode Island workshop, the bag took over four months to craft. The entirely sterling silver bag is complete with engraved lilies and roses, which nod to the flowers of Italy and New York. Additionally, the bag weighs 5.2 pounds and came to be using a traditional silversmithing technique called “chasing.” With this form, the sterling silver was crafted around the floral pattern instead of forming the shapes before adding any details.
Alongside the unique sterling silver bag, the collaboration also includes a capsule of leather Baguette bags in Tiffany & Co.’s signature blue shade.
