Tomo & Co. and REGAL Shoe & Co. Launch New Collaboration Line, Tomo & Shoe & Co.

Tomo & Shoe & Co., a collaboration line between Tomo & Co. and REGAL Shoe & Co., has officially launched. To celebrate the debut, a pop-up tour will visit four cities—Fukuoka, Osaka, Tokyo, and Nagoya—starting in Fukuoka on Saturday, October 3.

The collaborative project by Tomo & Co. will unfold starting in 2025, driven by the concepts of “movement” and “travel.” The campaign visuals feature Shinobu Okumura, owner of Mingei Okumura, who has traveled extensively throughout Japan and abroad, experiencing regional folk arts, craftsmanship, and local manufacturing. The encounters with people and craftsmanship that emerge through travel and movement are layered onto the world view of the project.

For this collection, the focus was placed on the comfort walking shoes introduced by REGAL in the 1980s, which prioritized walkability and lightness. Based on the extensive archives REGAL has cultivated over the years, the modern perspective of Tomo & Co. was added, reconstructing the series using a stitch-down manufacturing method. By blending traditional craftsmanship with original design, the themes of “movement” and “travel” have been seamlessly integrated into the footwear.
