Dime has officially dropped its upcoming footwear collaboration with Merrell. The Canadian streetwear collective, based out of Montréal, puts its own twist on a Merrell hiking shoe classic for its latest release.

Going for a functional all-weather staple footwear collaboration, the Dime x Merrell 1TRL Moab WP 2 is an updated take traditional trail shoes. Building on the Merrell 1TRL ethos of delivering contemporary silhouettes that offer exemplary outdoor performance, the latest Dime collaboration puts a creative and fun spin on the trail-ready shoes. Constructed from premium suede leather and a breathable mesh upper and lining, the shoe includes functional features such as the traditional lace structure, bellows tongue and an abrasion-resistant toe cap to protect the wearer’s foot and keep debris out on the harshest of hikes.

The shoe is also waterproof, sealing out water all while allowing the moisture to escape. For added comfort, the shoe also features a Kinetic Fit ADVANCED removable contored footbed with reinforced heel cushioning for medium support. With the Merrell Air Cushion in the heel to absorb shock, it adds stability along with comfort, just like the lightweight EVA foam midsole. The Vibram TC5+ outsole which is formulated exclusively for Merrell, makes the shoe extra durable and versatile for various outdoor activities.

Dime puts its skate and fashion design cues on the definitive Merrell classic with a subtle branding of its moniker on the toe guard, canary yellow heel tab as well as stitched onto the suede tongue. The shoe is available in two colorways, in a neutral tone as seen in “Birch” and a bolder color with the “Blue Ribbon.”

The Dime x Merrell 1TRL Moab WP 2 in “Birch” and “Blue Ribbon” arrive in store at Dime and online starting on January 14 at 1 p.m. EST and available globally online at Merrell an in limited quantities at select retailers on January 18.
