This adidas Forum High Celebrates New York's "Cuts & Slices" Pizzeria
Known for its oxtail pies.
Following the latest release from the adidas Superstar F&B tour which paid homage to Shanghai’s Yanwai Restaurant, adidas now travels to New York for a special restaurant-edition adidas Forum Hi in celebration of New York’s Cuts & Slices pizzeria. Cuts & Slices was started by Randy Mclaren, who also runs a sneaker business called Mclaren Kicks Shop which acquires rare footwear for entertainers and athletes. In a city known for its Italian American slices, the Trinidadian pizza parlor in Bed Stuy has made a name for itself with progressive flavors such as jerk shrimp and curried oxtail.
The upcoming pairs arrive in a mix of different leathers in shades of white, maroon, red, and cream. The shop’s address, “93 Howard Ave, Brooklyn, NY, 11233” is printed along the collars, its “Pull Up Beloved” slogan is displayed on the lace straps, and its name is engraved on the heel counters. Additional details include fuzzy suede heel tabs and pizzeria logos printed on the tongue tabs and hangtags. Rounding out the look are cream midsoles and dark brown outsoles.
The adidas Forum ‘84 Hi “Cuts & Slices” will be available online and at select retailers October 4 with a special pre-launch block party happening on September 24.
