Paloma Elsesser Fronts Vans' Fall 2022 "Classic Since Forever" Campaign

Ever since breaking into the industry as the muse for makeup artist Dame Pat McGrath’s inaugural Gold 001 launch in 2016, model Paloma Elsesser‘s spotlight in fashion has only grown brighter and brighter. Today, the path-forger is lending her status-quo-shifting ethos to Vans‘ Fall 2022 “Classic Since Forever” campaign, a sartorial offering rooted in the power of community.

A globetrotter in her own right, Elsesser was born to an African-American mother and Chilean-Swiss father in the north end of London, and later grew up in Los Angeles before attending The New School in New York. With Vans, the multi-hyphenate is paying homage to her New York people, all the while donning the brand’s most classic silhouettes: the Sk8-Hi, Slip-On Stackform, Authentic Stackform and Hi-Def T-shirt.

“This campaign represents a community of creatives and colleagues I call friends,” Paloma said in a statement. “Vans invested in my vision for this project, so it feels inspiring to see the images we created—here in New York, with my New York family—all over the city. I’ve been wearing Vans forever, so it’s a full-circle moment.”

The forward-thinking model’s “Classic Since Forever” campaign launches in tandem with New York Fashion Week, during which Vans will host a public event, titled Steal This Gallery, an “Off The Wall Experience.” Visit the activation at 365 Broadway, Tribeca, New York, from 12 p.m. ET to 8 p.m. ET on September 8th and 9th.
