Oi Polloi and adidas Originals Present the Salford Sage
Yet another green sneaker from the duo.
UK-based boutique Oi Polloi has operated out of Manchester for two decades now, making its mark on menswear with carefully curated product and styling. Its creative reach has expanded by means of collaboration with brands such as adidas. In 2014, the brand linked up with the Three Stripes to create the Ardwick, pulling inspiration from classic adidas silhouettes with a green hairy suede upper. More recently, the duo revisited green on the world’s first eco-friendly terrace shoe, the adidas Moss Side. Now, a third green sneaker enters the mix as the pairing continues its streak of tasteful looks.
Named the Salford Sage, Oi Polloi and adidas Originals revisited details from their 2014 project as shaggy suede makes a return in green. Favoring a monochromatic look this time around, the Three Stripes layer on the upper in a dark green while the rubber sole unit bears an even darker green hue. The Salford Sage name can be found on the tongue as it references the sage colorway and city of Salford which is found in the Greater Manchester area.
While release for the Oi Polloi x adidas Originals Salford Sage has sold out via Oi Polloi, a possible wider release via adidas and select retailers may take place soon.
