Feng Chen Wang FW22 Rests in Imperfect Beauty
Featuring reconstructed tailoring, hand-dyed fabrics and more.

London-based brand Feng Chen Wang has unveiled a provocative new campaign for its Fall/Winter 2022 collection. Dually fueling the collection and the subsequent campaign is a meditation on imperfect beauty.
Bringing on the campaign are the brand’s signature Chinese painting scroll-inspired style and Renaissance period polyptych painting images. Embedded in the flow of visuals are collection garments like deconstructed tailoring in deep stone shades, multicolored mixed-media jackets, bleached coordinated sets, knitwear with graphic detailing, reconstructed denim pieces, ribbed body-con tops and more.
In line with the continuous scroll images, the new collection exalts the feeling of incompletion, starting over and never stopping, which directly fuels the reconstructed design styles set forward. “This season, I love the idea of embracing and finding beauty in our inter-connectedness, in nature, societies and our own selves,” said Feng Chen Wang. “Perfectly incomplete. Imperfectly complete.”
Elevating the array of pieces are multiple fabrications like plain and pinstriped wool, nylon and cotton alongside hand-dyed textiles. A collection standout is a multidimensional jacket with detachable sleeves.
