White and Gray Returns to the New Balance 550
Keeping it clean and simple.
There’s no question that the New Balance 550 has become New Balance’s most essential style staple as the silhouette has been presented in countless makeovers. Between its budget oriented pricing, at least relative to other New Balance options, and its clean presentation, the sneaker’s success certainly adds up. While an array of colorways have recently landed on the shoe’s high-top variant, the 650, the brand has reminded us the 550 remains its golden child with yet another versatile offering.
Arriving in a white upper supported by shades of gray at the overlays and sole, it wouldn’t be hard to mistake this colorway for previous releases such as the 550 “White/Gray.” Constructed of a mixed material upper, this pair begins with white leather occupying a majority of the upper while white mesh pops up at the heel and tongue. Hits of gray begin at the suede mudguard and heel counter, then continuing throughout the standard 550 sole unit. Lastly, tonal New Balance branding can be spotted at the heel, midsole, tongue and midfoot with the typical “N” logos.
This white and gray colorway of the New Balance 550 should hit shelves in the coming weeks via New Balance and select retailers worldwide at a price of $110 USD.
In other footwear news, a wild multicolored New Balance 9060 has just popped up.
