Matty Boy's Custom Chrome Hearts Nike Air Force 1 Surfaces for $6K USD

After dropping a pair of Kanye West-worn YZY SHDZs for $10,000 USD last week, the luxury consigner Justin Reed is back with yet another comprehensive stock, and littered in between a host of Louis Vuitton rarities is a very special pair of Nike Air Force 1s — the Chrome Hearts Matty Boy hand-painted iteration.

Chrome Hearts’ Creative Director Matt DiGiacomo is known for offering some of the rarest pieces available at Chrome Hearts. A coveted and highly-collectible brand in its own right, Matty Boy’s pieces range from SEX RECORDS exclusives to one-offs such as these AF1s, seeing the iconic white sneaker don a custom artwork design.

For this pair, which comes in a US 9, Matty Boy paints a black-and-white checkerboard design on the mid-panels of both pairs, looking as if the design is submerged underneath the Swoosh emblem. Further details include a new set of silver eyelets and hallmarked Chrome Hearts-branded lace toggles and a complementing lace lock, while his inimitable graffiti-style wording works various panels around the white footwear staple. Rounding the pair off, we find Matty Boy’s signature on the rear-quarter of one shoe, as well as again on the box.
