Prada's Re-Nylon Pouch Belt Combines Form and Function

Among the first design labels to refine tactical fabrics and utilitarian sportswear with a high-fashion aesthetic, Prada has become a go-to purveyor for luxury (and recycled) nylon accessories. Joining the brand’s signature Re-Nylon entourage — a consciously-crafted product vertical that includes but is not limited to mini bags, pouches, bucket hats, foulards and ties — is Prada’s Pouch Belt, a functional accessory offering style-forward storage for those on the go.

Made in Italy, the emblematic black belt is equipped with a zip-controlled triangular pouch that reimagines the imprint’s classic iconography. Lined with a saffiano leather trim, the bag is made with Prada’s aforementioned Re-Nylon, which is constructed out of recycled plastic material found in the ocean. Meanwhile, a logo-engraved, side-release clasp, composed of silver metal, connects the sharp accessory to the wearer’s waist.

Measuring just 9cm high and 12cm wide, the pouch certainly runs on the smaller side, so we’d suggest packing lightly. Nonetheless, the belt pouch is a hybrid design that combines form and function in a modern manner, proving the duality of Prada’s latest offerings.
